Flying Panda Painting by Nate Haefner
Flying Panda Painting by Nate Haefner

When I create my art, I start out by drawing the image in detail on the canvas.
Next I mask off the entire canvas and cut out the areas I want to apply color
to. I then use multiple colors of spray paint to obtain the desired color in
the areas. I repeat the process for as many colors as it takes to finish the
yo-yo. For the background, I use various techniques with sponges and "strokes"
of spraying.

I created the 50 yo-yo portraits to remind all the yo-yo players of some of the
great yo-yos of the past and the future. The collection consists of player
favorites as well as collector favorites.
