5A was introduced by Steve Brown at the Bay Area Classic yo-yo contest in 1999. This is one of the few places in yo-yo history where there is a point where something clearly changed in a big way. We have recently obtained an event video that was shot back in 1999, but has not been truly available until now. This hour long dvd shows a young (former Infinite Illusions employee) Mark Mcbride in his kilt and Dare Devil t-shirt and Steve Brown's BAC victory where he introduced 5A. Lots of other names were here, and it's fun to identify them as they play, and amazing to see how far we have come in just a few years. A truly old school video, and some classic footage.
