1st Philippine National Yo-Yo Contest DVD
1st Philippine National Yo-Yo Contest DVD

In the 1920s , a young Filipino named Pedro Flores started a yo-yo company in the United States. This caught the eye of entrepreneur Donald F. Duncan Sr. , and so began the Duncan Toy Company.

This DVD contains excerpts from the first ever National Yo-Yo Contest in the Philippines, interviews with local yo-yo players, adults who speak of the yo-yo craze of their youth and the yo-yo's important place in Filipino culture.
The first yo-yo boom in the USA was fueled almost entirely by Filipino yo-yo professionals. Former Infinite Illusions employees Mark McBride and Steve Brown made this DVD as a love letter to the country that brought the yo-yo to Donald. F. Duncan Sr., the founder of Duncan yo-yos.
